I was given this book a few years back as birthday gift from a beautiful friend. If you haven’t yet read this book, you must. It’s one of the most exquisite stories I have ever read. From just one glance, it will have you hooked. I remember I first saw this book perched on a shelf in Borders (how I miss that place).. it looked at me lovingly, wooing me to take it down from the shelf.
And take it down I did.
So there I sat, for what seemed like moments, but I think it was more like hours, immersing myself in this lovely story, drinking in the beauty that each page offered.
My French Life is written by Vicki Archer. It’s a magical tale set in beautiful Saint Rémy de Provence, France. Set amidst a backdrop of perfection, she tells us her story. Her family, on holiday in France, came upon, fell in love with and purchased a farm house. And so begins the story of the loving restoration of their home, Mas de Berard – the spectacular lead role in this picture perfect fairytale.
The photography by Carla Coulson is just beautiful. I highly recommend looking at Carla’s books too.. Chasing a Dream.. Paris Tango and Italian Joy.
Here are some casual snaps to inspire your day!

So tell me.. what is your favourite coffee table book?
I hope you have a beautiful afternoon whatever you may be up to. 🙂
